"Hey You - Smile" by Tamara Buckler

Hello again,

Well hasn't this month flown by, and here I am, back again to share another layout with you all.

I'm really loving getting messy atm, and searching pinterest for 'painty background' inspo almost daily!! So, today I have got a painty layout to share.

My background is a real mash up of texture paste, inks, watercolour paints, splatters and stamping! I drew inspiration from my pic, playing with the loud pops of blue and black. I may have gone a little cray cray, but who can blame me when its so much fun!

I added some paper strips, washi and puchinella under my photo in a cross pattern to anchor my pic to the page.

I used a mini date spot and sequin bow in my main cluster, and a journal spot to the left of my photo to add balance. I tucked in some black thread for added texture.

I then added some Jewelled Cabochons, some resin hearts from the retro revival kit, and some sequins to add more texture, colour and interest across the page.

I hope you've enjoyed checking out my painty layout today. Link me up to your Pinterest account so I can check out what you've been pinning lately!

Big Loves,
Tam x

'You Darling Are Fabulous" by Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone!
Rachel here with you, and today I have my layout
"You Darling Are Fabulous"
to share with you.

I created my background by applying some paint to a sheet of
patterned paper, then it was on to the fun part of
embellishing with lots of D-lish goodies!

I've used some 'Just Add Paper' Kit bits from various Just Add Paper kits - tissue paper, resin hearts, mint grosgrain bow, wordfetti word and sequins. I've used a wood veneer frame to frame my photo, then layered a coloured doily and some black and aqua blue punchinella.

For my clusters I've used a super cute pink sequin bow, Little Birdie Watercolour Gianna flowers, tea roses in cream, bitty blooms, resin flowers, and wax blossoms, as well as a flair button and a wood veneer heart.

I added some journalling on a white round Journal Its spot, and added a quote from the 'Life Documented' Wordfetti set.

sweet tea - by Nicolee Cable

Hi there, Nicolee here for my last May layout.

I've been inspired by a floral, almost black and white,
piece of Heidi Swapp patterned paper for this design.  It has an ever so slight
tinge of colour, so I used this as my inspiration for the colour scheme
of this layout with my mother-in-law,
black and white with a slight soft touch of colour.

I've fussy cut some of the floral elements on the paper
and layered a couple of them in the diagonal corners under the photos.

Then I just layered the clustered embellishments in the diagonal corners of the photos,
as you can see, it's actually quite a simple layout.

D-lish embellishments make layouts Easy Peasy!

Here are the D-lish products I used:
doilies (large and gold from an old Just-Add-Paper kit)
large and small pearl dots (from a previous JAP kit)
various other flowers
washi tape on the top and bottom boarders
and a vellum butterfly (from a previous JAP kit)

The technique I really enjoyed doing with this layout was
sprinkling tiny little micro glass beads (from a previous JAP kit)
on the glue covered creative cuts word.

Don't you think it looks really cute?!  It's a great way to use them and can be fun....
as long as you're prepared and they don't go everywhere!

As they're quite light, I then just rested the word on the layout where
it fell, rather than laying it flat, it gives it a bit of dimension.

I hope you enjoyed this layout and please pop on over to the
D-lish store to grab all those extra special
little embellishments that make your layouts complete!

Take care everyone,
have a wonderful weekend and I
will see you in June!
(I can't believe I just said that!)

Happy Scrapping

PINK by Julianne McKenna

Hello fellow crafters! Julianne here with you today, sharing a layout about my youngest daughter Keana, and her aversion to the colour pink. It must run in the family because I hated pink as a child, too. Does anyone else have children who refuse to wear a certain colour? It's a fun topic to document and look back on, once they are adults. Maybe their tastes in colour will change over time?

Keana has never really been a girly girl. She is much more of a tom-boy. She will choose shorts and a shirt over a dress any dayway. And as for the colour pink - forget it! There was no way she was going to let me have my dream of dressing her up in pretty pink, frilly dresses. Just nope! But now that she is modelling, she doesn't get a say in the colours she has to wear. So catching her in a pink outfit was a bonus for me.

I have used lots of pieces from the past "Pretty In Pink" Just Add Paper kit. I have layered a journal spot and journal strip together, and added a flair button as a focus point. I have finished off with a few pink rhinestones, just to add a little bling.

I have used the journalling tags from the "Pretty In Pink" JAP kit, and recorded the story of Keana's aversion to pink. Maybe one day she will look back on this and have a giggle. But at least I now know that pink really does suit her - she can't argue against that point anymore.

I have also used the pink dotted washi tape from the "Pretty In Pink" JAP kit. I have added a layer at the top and bottom of the page for balance, then layered some phrase stickers over top.

I have used the mini roses as focus points on my die cuts, and they also create a visual triangle.

And of course, I have used lots of flowers on my layout - I can never help myself. The wild roses are my absolute favourite flower, and I've finished of with a couple of star flowers, too. I just love how the colours all match perfectly - makes creating a layout so much easier.

Thank-you for joining me today. I hope you have enjoyed my layout. If you would like to view more of my work, please visit my blog: JULES THE BLING PRINCESS

Nana's Love by Lauren Tomecek

Have you ever been holding onto that special photo just waiting for the right papers or embellishments to match it? I have had this photo of my mum and son (her first grandchild) for almost three years, just waiting. This month the stars must have aligned, because not only did the perfect paper range come out but D-lish Scraps started stocking floral die-cuts and watercolour flowers. It was time to stop waiting and start creating!

My bottom cluster has some fussy cut flowers and stamping as the base layer. I used a blue Little Birdie - Watercolour Gianna flower as the feature, and tucked in a purple paper flower, a flair button, the resin flower and some half-pearls from a past Just Add Paper kit.

The main cluster has a lot more fussy cutting at the base. I repeated a lot of the same elements as the bottom cluster, this time using a Little Birdie - Watercolour Heather flower as the feature. Tucked in around this is another flair button, two different paper flowers, two petite resin roses, a sequin bow (I've been wanting to use one of these for AGES) and some more half-pearls from a past Just Add Paper kit.

I love the look of these new Creative Cuts for adding a subtle touch of detail. I did a watercolour background wash and then adhered the cuts over that for some white-on-white texture. The puffy alphabet stickers were perfect for my title.

There are so many different wonderful embellishments at the D-lish Scraps store I'm sure you'll be able to find just what you need to scrap that special photo you've been saving. Stop waiting and start creating!

"The Happy Crazy Sister" by Gwen Wruck

Hi Everyone,

Gwen back with you today with a bright and happy layout.  I had such fun creating this page, not only due to the fun photo, but because it was created on a little scrap day with the super talented Amanda Hartmann and Nicolee Cable from the D-lish design team as well as some other very special scrapbooking ladies!

Yep, so now I better explain the photo a little.  This one features my sister and I and was taken on Christmas day 2016.  Our mum has a Christmas tradition (like many) that once dinner is served, we all crack Bon Bons, tell the jokes and wear our paper hats.  No-one is "allowed" to take their hat off until dinner is done!  One year, mum even made us all Santa hats and stitched our names on them which was hilarious, as we all obviously know each others names seeing we are having Christmas dinner together!!

Anyway, this was a quick silly selfie taken of my sister and I to add to the ongoing tradition that is the Christmas hat for our family.  I'm so serious because I was concentrating on taking the selfie and she is crazy, well, because she IS just a little crazy.

Now onto the layout!!  This one started with some pretty paint splatters using my mists and these large yellow fussy cut flowers.  Next, I set about matting my photo and used a paper baggie to do this.  I love the bold colours of these!  I also found a scrap of yellow paper to mount my photo and Amanda gave me this piece of silver/white mesh which added lovely texture to my paper layers.

Next, I added in my bright yellow fussy cut flowers and then went looking through my stash of D-lish flowers.  I just love the floral choices Amanda gets for us all, from paper to resin there are so many to choose from in lots of sizes, so great for layering.  I've added links below to all of these!

Once I was happy with my paper flower clusters, it was time to add in some resin flowers.  I like to spread these out in little clusters, usually in 3 spots around my page.   You all know by now I'm a huge fan of these wooden hearts, the perfect addition to any page... you can paint or ink over them but I rarely do as I love their soft wooden shade.  You can also see here I've added in some of the divine glitter dots as well.

One last close up, this time of the cute bow - how sweet are these??  They come on a paper clip so you can easily attach to your paper layers.

I hope you have enjoyed today's post and the little bit of silly that goes along with it.  It's so nice to scrap family traditions isn't it!

Good Books | Michelle Stokes

Hi Everyone! It's Michelle back here today with a new layout share featuring some of our new Creative Cuts. The hearts I've chosen to use are so pretty and delicate looking, and a perfect finish to this simple layout.

This was a super quick layout to create using scraps of pattern papers from a previous layout and a little less dimension than I usually create with. The only things I've raised off the page are the Creative Cuts as I stuck the photos straight to the background paper rather than popping them up with foam like I would normally. I kept to a diagonal/grid design, and made sure to replicate similar clusters top and bottom to ensure the page looked balanced. In the top left and bottom right of the 'grid' I've allowed for space to add photos and the title, and added machine stitching along edges of the papers and through the puffy alphabet letters to ensure they all stay stuck!

I'm really happy with how it turned out. Here's a closer look..

Up in this corner I've layered in a couple of Journal It's (Tab and the Round & Round), some Forget me not flowers and a carnation. I've also added some twine to the heart, an enamel dot and a sequin from my stash.

The top of the left photo has a little ombre wordfetti piece along with some glitter enamel dots..

To replicate the top cluster I've used the same flowers along with another Round & Round Journal It, an ombre wordfetti strip and more twine to tie the 2 hearts together.

Lastly the title, made up of typed text and puffy alphabet stickers. Its a little play on the Dr Seuss rhyming which ties in with the photos, and is a perfect representation of Leila's current love of books!

Well thats all from me today, I hope this has given you a daily dose of Inspiration.
Be sure to check back daily for more creations from the other DT Members, and stop into our Facebook group to see our current Cybercrop challenges.

Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

"Live for today" by Julie Pearce

Hello again,

I'm here today sharing a layout I created using this months Just add paper kit Sunset Dreaming.

I love this kit and the colours this month.

I started off by using the pretty mini butterfly stencil that came in the kit with some texture paste.

I then used some patterned paper to layer behind my photo and used the grey doily cut in half and put it behind my patterned paper top and bottom.
I used the x washi tape that came in the kit and put a strip on top and bottom near my photo matte.

And then added a couple of gorgeous glitter dots.

I used the Live for today wood veneer for my title and wrapped around yellow and white twine.
And also used a couple more of those glitter dots and wood veneer leaves.
To finish it off a splatted some gold Heidi colour shine.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my layout.

Make sure you head over to the D-lish Scraps store and grab your self a JAP kit before they're all gone.
Catch you next time.

"Pose" - by Jasmine Shea

Yay, it's the weekend.
I hope you get some scrappy time this weekend.
Unfortunately between kids sport and functions, I think it will be a 'scrap free' weekend for me :(

But I have created this page to share with you today.

I was only after one nice photo of my darling daughter but of course, it turned into a series or pics, many different poses and many that didn't end up on the page.

This design is probably a bit 'random' for me but it was fun just adding lots of bits and pieces and just going with it.

Here you can see I have used some Loose Sequins, some Ombre Wordfetti pieces which are so easy to add to the page and one of my faves, the Elegance Blooms.

I have also used  a beautiful blue Tassel and finally some Cabbage Roses to complete the page.

There are a lot of new arrivals and re-stocked items in the shop so make sure you check them out here

See you again next time.
